“Vasavadutta: A Dramatic Romance”
This play was written in Pondicherry in 1915. As stated by Sri Aurobindo in his author’s note, he took the plot of Vasavadutta from the Kathasaritsagara, an eleventh-century Sanskrit story-cycle written by Somadeva Bhatta.
