Kalvi
KALVI ("Education" in Tamil) was created by a group of educators engaged with Integral Education in Auroville. The unit focuses on researching and implementing games and activities for didactic purposes.
These games/activities are designed to nurture a child's inner awareness.
KALVI is presently exploring and researching "Aurogames", educational games developed by Auroculture. She arrived at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry, in 1971, and moved to Auroville in the mid 1990s. She was asked by the Mother to create educational games, which she called "Aurogames". Auroculture has given KALVI "Aurogames" to use and expand upon.
KALVI's imminent plan is to develop educational materials to expand the six faculties of consciousness (thinking, seeing, hearing, speaking, vital and body).
