Aurofilm
Aurofilm is Auroville’s cine-film service, dedicated to research and study of the artistic, educational and cultural value of cinema. Aurofilm screens films regularly at the Sri Aurobindo Auditorium, usually on Friday nights, and every year hosts a film festival in the presence of film directors, actors or film critics.
Aurofilm occasionally holds workshops and lectures on the making of films and history of cinema. The Aurofilm team, Gerard and Surya, also attend annual film festivals within India and are in contact with international Embassies who often make available films for circulation within India.
