The '''Sri Aurobindo International Institute of Educational Research (SAIIER)''' supports and coordinates most of the educational programmes in Auroville, with the intent of keeping them focused on Auroville’s aims and ideals. SAIIER is also a financial and administrative umbrella for these programmes. SAIIER is a unit of the [[Auroville Foundation]], an autonomous body under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The administrative work of SAIIER is based in a central office next to the [[Auroville Foundation]] building.
