The Sri Aurobindo Center of Los Angeles (also known as the East-West Cultural Center) was founded in 1953 by Jyotipriya (Dr. Judith M. Tyberg), with an aim to share and unite the spiritual, cultural and philosophical wisdom of the East and West in the light of the teachings of the Mother and Sri Aurobindo.

Activities at the center include weekly satsangs, collective meditation, Darshan Day programs, hosting of cultural events, and welcoming visitors from India, Europe and the United States. The center offers a library, a meditation room, and a gift shop where books are available.
