How do I configure OutlookExpress to work with my auroville.org.in email account

  1. Open Outlook Express

  2. Go to the Tools menu, and then select Accounts.

  3. In the Internet Accounts window, select the Mail tab.
  4. Click Add, and then select Mail from the next menu. The Internet Connection Wizard will open.

  5. Type your Display Name: this is the name that your recipients will see in the From field of e-mails that you send.
  6. Click Next. 
  7. Type your e-mail address (username@auroville.org.in), and then click Next.
  8. Select POP3 from the “My incoming mail server is a … server” drop-down menu.

  9. For your incoming mail server enter "pop.auroville.org.in"
  10. For you outgoing mail server enter "smtp.auroville.org.in"
  11. Click Next.
  12. In account name enter your email address and the password. Check the box "Remember password" if you don't want to type it in every time you check or send mail.

  13. Click Next, then Finish, then Close.
  14. Go to the Tools menu, and then select Accounts.
  15. In the Internet Accounts window select the "All" tab.
  16. Highlight the entry "pop.auroville.org.in" (single left click) in the Account column
  17. Then of the right side click on Properties
  18. In the pop.auroville.org.in Properties window select the "Servers" tab
  19. At the bottom tick the "My server requires authentication" and click on Settings
  20. In the Outgoing Mail Server window make sure "Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected"
  21. Click OK
  22. Click OK
  23. Click Close
