How do I change an existing OutlookExpress set-up to work with my new auroville.org.in email account


  1. Open Outlook Express

  2. Go to the Tools menu, and then select Accounts.
  3. In the Internet Accounts window, select the Mail tab.
  4. Single-left-click your existing old auroville account, then click on "Properties" on the right side.
  5. In the next Window under "General, Mail Account" replace the entry with "auroville.org.in". Then select the "Servers" tab on the top.
  6. Under "Server Information" select POP3
  7. For your incoming mail server enter "pop.auroville.org.in"
  8. For you outgoing mail server enter "smtp.auroville.org.in"
  9. Type your e-mail address under "Account name" (username@auroville.org.in) and password.Check the box "Remember password" if you don't want to type it in every time you check or send mail. If you see it already entered leave it unchanged.
  10. Now set a check mark under "Outgoing Mail Server" and click on "Settings". In the "Outgoing Mail Server" window make sure "Use same settings as my ...." is selected. Then click OK.
  11. Click "Apply", then "OK", then "Close"
