Instructions to set up a new auroville.org.in account in Outlook2007.
- Start Microsoft Outlook 2007. On the Tools menu, click E-mail Accounts...
- In the Account Settings window go to the E-mail tab. Now click on "New"
- In the "Add New E-mail Account" dialogue window select "Manually configure server settings ..." and click "Next"
- Choose "Internet E-mail" in the next window. Then click on "Next".
- In the next "Add New e-mail Account" main window enter your name, your Auroville email address. Under "Account Type" make sure POP3 is selected. Fill in "pop.auroville.org.in" for Incoming mail server and "smtp.auroville.org.in" for Outgoing mail server.
- Click on "Test Account Settings" to check your settings.
- Now click on "More Settings" and select the "Outgoing Server" tab. Check the "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" check-box, then "Use same settings as my incoming mail server". Then click "OK"
- Click "Next"
- Click "Finish" to close the E-mail Accounts dialog box.
- Click "Close
