Normal People :-)
From Auroville Wiki
Modern psychology hesitates to use the word "normal" because, it admits that there is no such thing as "normal" strictly speaking. Yet, it recognises about eight or nine 'pronounced tendencies'or exaggerated behaviour patterns which it identifies as 'odd' behaviour. It is quite alright to be 'mad' BECAUSE WE ALL ARE ALL INDEED MAD! CRAZY! CCOOCCOO!!! Happily, The Indian traditions do not recognise madness as any special state. According to these, human consciousness is a medium for bigger cosmic or universal forces to play. This is one reason why Ramakrishna Paramahansa's perpetually exulted states of being were not accepted as 'madness' but as 'Divine inspiration' or as 'Divine intoxication'.(Canons of modern Psychology might have pronnounced him RAVING MAD)There were prominent personalities, the sane ones from the sane society, who went to the 'madman' Ramakrishna for guidence and advise on complicated matters of state etc. Shivaji Bhonsale, the Maratha king used to take advise from Ramadas, another abnormal being, a bhakta, who'd run away from the scene of his own marriage in pursuit of God! On the summit of Daulatabad fort in Maharashtra there is a Samadhi of one swami Jagannath, who, in spite of being a swami, led the Muslim king's troups! Even in our times, we read in the papers that politicians consult these abnormal godmen for their political strategies. We live in a strange world. Those who go in search of God are un-normal, whereas those who seek worldly delights are normal. Neither are "normal" because then one would not be different from the other. Yet life is diverse. It takes all kinds to make the world.
