Blue Light Open Source Service and Research Centre
Blue Light Open Source Service and Research Centre has established a research lab, in which Open Source software is tested, modified and developed before it goes into use for the service of the community. Specific training in those applications which are implemented have been and will continue to be offered. Based on research results, Blue Light will offer Auroville services, working groups and schools a safe computing environment utilizing Open Source software solutions.
There are lots of different things you can do with Blue Light. It's not just about computers. Would you be interested to apply your skills to the benefit of community services? Do you want to share your creativity with a dynamic group of enthusiastic Aurovilians?
Do you have a good command of English? We need somebody writing promotional (articles for Linux magazines, announcements for AV, reports, volunteer coordination) or training materials.
Do you like teaching and workshops around Open Source computing environment? Want to try to develop training material together with us? Want to teach adults?
We need help in maintaining and enhancing the Auroville Wiki: http://wiki.auroville.org.in . This is an interesting opportunity to dive into Auroville, to get into contact with people, see how diverse Auroville is. Give it a try! We're at SaraCon, near Ganesh Bakery. The number is 2622500 and of course, our email: bluelight@auroville.org.in. Hope to hear from you soon.
