The valuable work being done in Auroville, through the development of seed banks and the planting of diverse indigenous species, should simply be extended wherever possible to the whole of Auroville.

We have the opportunity to embody, even more than at present, the rich and multifarious nature of the Earth, by continuing to express the biodiversity which has been nurtured since Auroville’s foundation.

Our public roofs can harvest fields of rare grains, our private terraces can nurture unusual species of flowers and vegetables and our gardens and forests can continue to be biotopes for indigenous species from throughout the region…
